Green Meadows Farm in Kissimmee, FL

On October 15, 2014, the boys and I went on a field trip with our homeschool co-op to the Green Meadows Farm in Kissimmee, FL.  It was a rainy morning, but it turned out to be a nice day.

It's not a good sight to pull into a parking lot and see those big yellow school buses.  School buses = Crowds.  Thankfully, this farm had their act together.  Each group was given their own tour guide, and ours was so great with the kids....especially with Scott.  He helped me keep Scott with the group (no small feat).   The farm is so large that it was not crowded at all.

This was a very hands-on farm.  The kids got to get in the pens with the animals and even catch and hold the animals.  We packed a lunch and ate there with the rest of the group.

Sage was too big to ride on the ponies!

October 2014 - Part 2

We went to some event that I can't even remember what it was now because it was so long ago, and I didn't write it down on my calendar.  Anyway, we went somewhere where the boys got to ride horses...there's proof in the pictures.  :-)

Scott was very timid at first.

Sage loves riding horses!

Whereever we were, there were vendors.

And there was a pond...

And lots of fancy chalk art.

On October 5th, we went to Palm Bay to visit our cousins.
While there, we became rock stars.

Those girls wore him out!

We took an evening walk around our campground.

Look closely...
somewhere is mowing the grass
and it's not us!

October mornings were finally cool enough to sit outside...
until about 11:00 am.

Brand new RV doesn't mean it comes without problems.
Mike to our rescue...again and again.

Homemade volcanoe...
Melted butter and flour.

Sage loves eating plain flour.
Yuck.

Scott doing some math with cereal.

Henry hard at work in the closet.
(His desk is in the closet :-)

Swimming in October!

The boys joined a Gardening Club
that meets twice a month.
First job was to weed the garden from last year.

Aerating the garden.

They made 3 square foot gardens.

Manual labor.

Making plans for travel.
Destination = Everywhere

Thank you pinterest for a mess.
Practice writing letters in flour.
Yeah...he just played in it.

Scott took the cushions off the
booth to make a race car ramp.

We made some spooky picnic
table decorations for Halloween.

We decorated the back of our RV
with spiders and webs.

The boys attended a Spooky Halloween Science day.
They made potions, fake blood, and slime.

Least favorite day of each week...
Laundry Day

Morning tea time outside.
