We stayed in town as long as we did just so Scott could see his pediatrician for his 5-year check-up. She has taken care of him since the day he was born. I made the switch to her because she is a holistic / conventional pediatrician which means she doesn't first turn to antibiotics for everything. She counsels and provides advice, but she allows the parents to make the decisions they want about parenting their children. We went through a really, really, really, really rough period with Scott. When other people looked at me like I was crazy when I said he did x,y,z, she didn't. She saw firsthand the issues we were having, and she supported us and provided the help we needed to get through that time. She respected me as his mom. I respected her as his doctor. We made a good team. I'm going to really, really, really, really miss her caring for my boys. I know I won't find a pediatrician like her down here in Florida (because I have already searched).
Scott didn't want to show his face.
My baby is no longer a baby.
I remember the first time we brought him to this office.
He was 4-days-old. He had to be rechecked for jaundice.
I had a c-section and was trying my best not to take pain
medication because I was nursing him.
I was in excruciating pain that day when he was 4-days-old.
I remember Nurse Kelly brought me a pillow to sit on because those chairs
are not 'new-mom friendly' at all!

Scott's 5-Year Stats:
Weight = 47.8 lbs which is the 87% percentile
Height = 45.2" which is the 90% percentile
Blood Pressure = 84/62 which is good so I'm told :-)
