I'm going to now rewind and go back to December 2014.
Still so much to get caught up on between then and now.
Homemade Veggie Pizza....
pretty big feat when it's made in an RV oven.
This was the cutest thing ever.
During a parade that we attended,
a Home Depot little apron was thrown to
Scott. He took this as a sign that he is
supposed to work at Home Depot.
So...I signed him up for one of the
Kid's Workshops there.
He was so excited to go and work!
We checked on their garden that they
started in their 'Garden Club'.
Looking good!
I love that this was a completely
hands-on experience for them.
Forget math.
Forget spelling.
Forget handwriting.
The most important thing that I can teach Sage is how to keep himself safe by avoiding peanuts and tree nuts.
This is the most important 'Life Skill' for him to learn.
When he's older and I'm no longer cooking for him, HE has to be able to do all his cooking.
He can not rely on someone else to cook for him.
He can not rely on restaurant food.
He planned 2 days of meals for our family
(2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 dinners, and 2 desserts).
He made the shopping list.
He went shopping with me and picked out all the ingredients for each meal which requires reading every single ingredient on each product. There's no grab and go when grocery shopping.
Our griddle comes in handy!
We cook pancakes, bacon, burgers,
pork chops, hot dogs, etc. on it.
He was brave and tried a Wowbutter sandwich.
He still didn't like it.
(BUT he tried it, and that is huge!)
Dipping the pork chops in the flour.
Pretty sure he's licking his lips in this picture.
Pork chops and bacon are his FAVorite!
He did such a great job with all the food prep.
He needs to get in the kitchen more often!
Hopefully, by the time he is 18, he will be even better in the kitchen than I am!
