The day after we got to Houston, we went to visit our dear old friends that we met back in 2004.
Elizabeth and I met in Ohio at Hondros College while we were getting our real estate license. We both went on to be Realtors with Coldwell Banker King Thompson in the same office. We learned that we also lived in neighborhoods that were about 3 minutes away from each other.
My, how times were different back then.
Both us were married, but neither of us had kids yet.
I had JUST found out I was pregnant with Sage.
She was one of the first people that I told that I was pregnant.
We both did so much moving around back then, but we always stayed in touch. Every time we would move to a new place, I would say, "I haven't met my Elizabeth (or Andrea - my other BFF) yet" meaning I hadn't found a forever friend yet.
Even Henry would ask me, "Have you found your Elizabeth (or Andrea) yet?"
It is so hard to believe that it has been
7 YEARS since we had last seen each other.
Here we are!!
So, we were just hanging out at their house outside of Houston, and I had mentioned that the whole time we were in Florida, we never saw an alligator.
She goes, "You want to see an alligator? I can take you to see some right now."
So we walked about 5 minutes from her neighborhood, right down the street, and there they were....
Can you see the 2 alligators?
Did I mention that she also has 2 boys too?!
It is CRAZY how much our boys are alike!
(And near the same age!)
The boys had so much fun having
a 4-hour playdate with their boys...
so much so that they would consider moving to Houston if they could play with them more.
When we left their house, we decided to stop at
Whataburger. We had never had it, and well...
we weren't impressed.
