Would you, could you...in a RV?

There is no way to announce this without sounding crazy.

Would you move out of your 3000 square foot home that has 3 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, finished basement, upstairs laundry room, fully updated kitchen...a house that has all the bells and whistles...and sell 80% of your possessions...TO MOVE INTO A RV??  As in, LIVE in the RV??
On purpose!?!  For fun!?!

We would!!  And we hope too!!

I am SOOOOO stinkin' excited about this that I can't adequately put it into words!!   It has been a DREAM of mine to travel across country in a RV, but I just always thought about a 2-3 week vacation.  I didn't really think about LIVING in one...until recently.  And man...when my brain starts these plans, I can't stop the process.  It took Henry a little encouragement to agree to it, but when he realized how great it would be financially for us, he saw the light.  See, he's a 'numbers guy'.  Those darn little things mean so much to him.  I.could.care.less.about.them.  That's why we work so well together...well, one of the reasons.

We plan to still make the trek down to Florida and hunker down at a campground.  One that has amenities like a pool and laundry mat!  We'll stay there as long as we can handle it, but then we'll be able to pick up our little home, and move to the next stop.

We want to a RV dealership today...yes, in the below FREEZING temperature and SNOW...but we fell in love with one!   This is the place we went, and our salesman was 'Tim Maccabee aka 'Tiny Tim'.  Totally recommend this place and him!

"Does Henry have a job in Florida?  How are we going to be able to move around if Henry is working?"  Very good questions!  I can't disclose the fine details of that just yet, but short answer is, "Yes, he has a job.  Yes, he can do the job from anywhere as long as he has internet / cell phone connections."

"What about school for the boys?"   We homeschool!  And if we are traveling around, it will be called, "Roadschooling".

"Aren't those RVs so expensive?"  Yes and No.  Henry has a Prius right now.  A monthly payment for the RV we want will be LESS than his Prius payment.

"What kind of RV are you getting?"  We want a 37' Jayco 5th Wheel (this one below has already been sold).  It has a bunkhouse in the back for the boys, and they would have their own bathroom.  There is a master bedroom as well.  (Both bedrooms have DOORS that shut!  Very important!)  The kitchen has everything I need including an island.  There is an outdoor kitchen too!  There is a couch, 2 recliners, a fireplace, and table.  I didn't take any indoor pics.

"What do the boys think of this plan?"  Sage is SOOOOO excited!  He has always said that as soon as he can move out that he was going to be a nomad and travel the world...so he can not believe that he gets to do it as a kid!  Scott doesn't grasp the whole concept, but seems excited.  They both were so incredibly excited today when we were looking at them.

"Are you keeping your Prius and mini-van?"  No.  We are getting rid of both to get a big 'ole Ford F350!  Please pray that I can drive that thing!  My days of driving a 1-ton truck when I was a secretary in college will come in handy!

"Are you selling your house in Ohio?"  No.  We are renting it out.  As of right now, we are using a Realtor to find tenants for us, then having a property manager 'manage' it while we are gone.

"What are you doing with all your possessions?"  We are selling and donating probably about 80% of our stuff.  The more I get rid of, the easier it gets.  It's so addicting once I start letting things go.

"Isn't this idea just crazy?!"  Yes, yes it is, but we are so excited for the challenge!
