November 2014 - Part 2

One day in November, we got severe storm warnings.
You don't want to be in an RV during a severe storm.
So we headed over to Henry's parent's house.
Here Henry is working on their back porch.
What a nice office!!
(And the storm was non-existent).

Scott takes advantage of his Oma and Opa's
big bath-tub every chance he can!

Mmmmm....Vietnamese Spring Rolls.

November 20th, we attended a nature class
for homeschoolers titled,
"The Life of a Tree".

Food Allergy & Celiac Convention

On November 22, I attended the Food Allergy & Celiac Convention in Orlando, FL as a volunteer.

My volunteer title was 'Demo Assistant'.
However, no presenters needed an assistant so I just got to sit amongst the crowd and enjoy the presentations.

Well, in theory that's what I could do....
BUT...
I had a SCREAMING migraine.

I was so incredibly nauseous and miserable.
I actually snuck out early and left.

In actuality, I think this convention should have just been called the 'Celiac Convention'.  All the vendors were geared towards the celiac customer.  There were 2 nut-free vendors....Enjoy Life and Sunbutter.

I think I have been 'awed' so much by the homeschooling convention in Cincinnati, OH.  That was my only experience with a convention.  The homeschooling convention is about 60 times the size of the food allergy one.  BUT....but I am so happy that the 2 woman took upon themselves to get this one started.  It can only grow from here!

Sweet Caroline was Born!

On November 20th, 2014, my cousin gave
birth to her third daughter.

Her name is Caroline Summer.

I was so happy to be able to go
meet her just hours after birth.

Isn't she precious?

Sage loved holding her!

 Scott loved holding her too!

Me too!!

We took Sweet Caroline a
'Welcome to the World' cake.

What do 5-year-olds do in a
hospital room to entertain themselves?
Play Hide-N-Seek!

United States Coast Guard

On November 17th, 2014, the boys and I had a field trip
with a homeschool group to tour the
UNITED STATES COAST GUARD!!!
It was so incredibly neat!

The guys who gave us the tour were
so kind and patient with all the kiddos.
They answered all their questions
and showed them every nook and cranny.
We had to split up into 2 groups
because there were so many of us there.

The highlight was when we could board the actual boats.
