October 2014 - Part 1

The beginning of October we took a mini-vaca to the Florida Aquarium in Tampa and to Legoland in Winter Haven.

It was 'Homeschool Day' at the aquarium
which means it was only $5.00/person.
WHOA!
Safe to say that homeschoolers LOVE the
aquarium because they all seemed
to show up that day.
It was insanely packed.
That kind of 'packed' that just makes you miserable.
You walk along, and you feel like you should be 'mooing' too because you have apparently became apart of a herd of cattle.
It's probably a great aquarium,
but we saw mostly people's heads.
And good to know info...take swimwear because there is an outside water play area that would have been cool to play in.

Tampa Traffic

This was humorous.
We stayed all night in a hotel.
This was our view from our balcony.
A wall.

Outside line to get inside the aquarium.
In a billion degrees, mind you.

Legos in fish tanks

The boys are saying to the fish,
"Haha, you are in school, and we're not!"

I had a little surprise up my sleeve
for when we left the aquarium.
I found a nut-free bakery in Tampa!

Yeah, he was in heaven to be able to
pick ANYthing he wanted here.

Legoland parking lot when we arrived.
EMPTY!
We didn't get there until probably around 11:00ish.
We also went to Legoland on a 'Homeschool Day',
BUT I didn't print our tickets offline so they wouldn't honor the homeschool price which was going to be $70 for all four of us to get in.  Instead, we had to pay close to $200 for tickets which is sadly still a 'discounted price'.

This is the first ride we rode.
It's a big circular thing you just sit in,
and it takes you up and spins you ever so slowly so that you can see the whole park.  This is when I realized that, "Hmmm....maybe I have developed a fear of heights."

Watching a 4-D movie.

Watched the pirate show.
This is when my camera died.
Boooo....oh well.
It was a fun 2-day trip!
