Our 1st Stop

We left for our grand RV adventure on Saturday, June 21st.  (Seems like a lifetime ago!)

A couple of hours into the first leg of our trip,
Scott was OUT!

Sage is like me.
He does NOT sleep in the car (truck).

Henry did a lot of this on the drive.
Listening to soccer and
eating sunflower seeds.

Our first stop was Elkhart, Indiana.
We stayed at the Elkhart Campground.
It was the perfect first campground for us!
They had level, pull-thru sites
with plenty of space it get in and out of.
(something we learn the next day not all
campgrounds have!)

As soon as Henry had the electric hooked up,
the boys got busy mining!

Within minutes after parking,
we had a little visitor at our door.

Within the first hour after parking,
I was watching these kiddos for their momma.
We learned that this family was basically homeless.
They lost their house.
They were borrowing a friend's camper,
but the friend wanted it back that weekend.
They didn't know where they were going to go in 2 days.
I still think about this family and wonder where they are now.

This was the family's borrowed camper.

This was our site.

That night the boys swam in the pool.
It was too cold for me!
We ordered Marco's pizza,
and they delivered it right to our campsite.
AND Sage skyped with his best buddy.
