September 2014 - Part 2

Sage was invited to a birthday party
for a friend he met at homeschool co-op.
Scott and I tagged along.

Whipped Cream eating contest.

Henry and I celebrated 11 years
of marriage in September!
We dropped the boys off at Henrys' parent's house for the day and the WHOLE NIGHT.  This was a huge deal for us all.
Our boys had never stayed all night somewhere, ANYwhere, without Henry or me.
For lunch, we went to Salsa's Mexican Restaurant.

Food eating pic!

There's a restaurant that I love in Columbus called El Vaquero.  They have THE best veggie burritos.
I ordered a veggie burrito at Salsa's hoping it would be like the one in Columbus.  Nope.  It was the weirdest Mexican veggie burrito I ever had...it had broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots in it.  Not the taste I was going for.

After lunch, we went to the beach to just SIT.

My only request for our anniversary was that we have a seafood dinner on the water.  Nothing fancy.

Boat Parking in the air

Dinner on the water

Loved just sitting and watching the boats come and go.

My dinner of crab cakes, onion rings, and cole slaw.

This is the restaurant we ate at.
Inlet Harbor

After dinner, we went to listen to some awesome music by some of Henry's friends.  (He went to school with them).
Check them out...they are kinda a big thing.

Humoring Scott for a pic.

Ponce Inlet Lighthouse
Henry and I visited this lighthouse before we were married.
I climbed it to the top like a beast.
This time, 15 years later, I could not get to the top.
I got so sick - nauseous - from being hot, dizzy, and felt like I was going to pass out.  I've been claustiphobic for as long as I can remember, but the older I get, the worse it gets.  Man!  Getting old is rough!

The lighthouse grounds are lovely and well-kept!

I love how so much of the history is preserved.

Uniforms the keepers wore.

I get dizzy just looking at this picture.

Scott being brave.

Sage being brave.

Thank God for Henry.
He took the boys all the way to the top.
I had to turn around when I was only
about 3 sets of stairs from the top.

Sage took a picture of Scott taking a picture of us.

11 years strong!

Scott doing school work.

We'll call this Anatomy class.
Ha!  Scott was checking out my
metal fillings with the magnifying glass.

LOVE this road!
