Brevard Zoo

We are staying in a campground that is located close to my cousin and her family.  She has two super cute girls who are 2 and 4.  My cousin is also pregnant with her 3rd girl.

On Monday, July 7th, the boys and I went to the Brevard Zoo with them.  This zoo is really small, but made a fun morning outing.

The kiddos checking out some cool birds.

Horrible picture, but these are baby meerkats
that were 3 weeks old.
I had no idea meerkats were so cute!

The girls having a 'tea party'.

Here's Scott feeding a bird.

The food is put on popsicle sticks.
Sage wouldn't feed the birds because
we didn't know what the actual food was.
He saw some peanuts in shells on the
desk so his anxiety level was
pretty high while we were in this exhibit.

Well, look at that!
My cousin, the Bird Whisperer.

Family bragging moment:  My cousin is an AMAZING
elementary teacher!  You can follow her on Facebook at
'Teacher by the Beach' and her blog is
She has a store on the Teachers Pay Teachers site, called
No matter how your kids are educated,
her ideas are useful and creative!

The boy's favorite part of the zoo
was this little water area
which is free.

Scott waiting for the bucket to dump the water.
